Ben Johnson, seen here, has been named as the credit union's new CEO.

The US Community Credit Union board of Directors is proud to announce the selection of Ben Johnson as President and Chief Executive Officer for US Community Credit Union.

“This selection continues the ongoing tradition of succession planning and promoting talent from within the credit unions employee base. We are confident in this selection and know Mr. Johnson will continue the credit union’s rich history of service to our members and community” said Gary Stinson, Board Chairman. 

Ben Johnson is succeeding Paul Johnson who retired on March 31, 2022, after 25 years of service to the credit union. 

About New CEO Ben Johnson

Ben has served as Chief Operating Officer of US Community Credit Union, where he has been employed since 2008. As a passionate and engaged leader, Ben directs consumer lending, branch operations, oversees the organizations human resources and training function, coordinates strategic planning, and leads efforts to develop programs to better serve the credit union’s members. 

Ben is a 2002 graduate of Birmingham Southern College, received his Master of Science in Public Service Management from Cumberland University in 2005, and is a 2017 graduate of CUNA Management School earning the industry designation of Certified Credit Union Executive. Prior to starting his career in the financial services industry Ben served the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County as a Human Resources Analyst from 2003 to 2008, after having grown up working with his family’s real estate and development business. Ben is a native Nashvillian who carries on a family tradition of service and helping others. 

Ben is passionate about the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”. He enjoys golfing, metal fabrication, wood working, and loves to go roller skating with friends and family. Mr. Johnson loves spending time with his wife Tatum and son Dixon.
