Mt. Juliet Mayor Declares January 24, 2022 US Community Credit Union Day!

The credit union recently purchased a golf cart for the City of Mt. Juliet Beautification Team, a team dedicated to keeping the city clean, well-maintained, and up to resident standards. Most Mt. Juliet residents have seen the Beautification Team out on the roads and in neighborhoods picking up garbage, caring for public lawns and flower beds, and working with area businesses to keep Mt. Juliet looking and feeling like home.

USCCU recognized the City of Mt. Juliet was in need of a new golf cart to aid in their efforts and worked with city employees to find the right golf cart for their needs. A brand new golf cart with a dump bed was purchased, branded with the USCCU logo, and presented to the city in mid-January.

“We are so proud to have a branch in the Mt. Juliet community, and the City Beautification Team does so much to keep Mt. Juliet a special place to have a business, live, work, worship, and attend school,” said Molly Hissong, USCCU AVP of Marketing & Business Development. “We knew the city was in need of new equipment to help them with their daily work, and we wanted to help make that need a reality.”

A group of employees had the privilege of presenting the branded golf cart to the city and share in their excitement.

“The Beautification Team employees started doing rock-paper-scissors to see who got to drive it first,” said Hissong. “So that was special for us to see and know how much our gift meant to them.”

After the presentation, representatives from the credit union were invited to the city of Mt. Juliet Commissioners Meeting where the credit union was presented with a certificate from the Mt. Juliet Mayor. The certificate declared January 24, 2022 as US Community Credit Union Day!
